Friday Photos From Umbria ~ July 1st, 2016
We are finally back in Umbria, and thankfully summer has finally arrived. The temperatures are rising each and every day, but we finally have the pool opened so we can jump in to cool off whenever we need to. Our niece was visiting us last week and we managed to squeeze in a visit to Gubbio with lunch at Da Baffone, and a trip to Castelluccio to see the Fioratura, although we were a tad too early to see the fields in full color. After visiting Castelluccio, we stopped off in Norcia for lunch and to buy some local cheese and meats. My two grandsons are now visiting now for two weeks, so we’ll be very busy keeping them entertained!

The stunningly beautiful Piano Grande!

Prosciutto anyone?

what is the name of the plants with the yellow flowers, they look very nice? Here in Salento the heat has meant the wild flower season is finished but they did look spectacular this year,
I am not sure about those flowers. They covered the fields though!
I was told they were mustard… not sure!
Good to know!
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful photos with us. I live in New York and this is certainly different from the view I have! Just stunning. I visited Italy once and can’t wait to go back!
