Friday Photos From Umbria ~ July 17th, 2015
We are in the middle of an Umbrian heat wave with daily temperatures around one hundred dregrees, and with the family visiting us (total of twelve), we try and get out of the house early so we can cool off by the pool in the afternoon. We took advantage of cooler weather up in the mountains this week to visit Castelluccio this week and were lucky enough to catch the wildflowers in full bloom.

Good morning Deborah,
Just saw your photos of the fields of flowers and all I can say is “WOW!” how absolutely gorgeous!!
Enjoy your weekend despite the heat, we here in Chicago will be having our very own heat wave over this weekend as well! The old sayings are true: “Tutto il mondo e un paese!”
Arrivederla,
Rosetta
How lucky you were to be there with all the blooming flowers! They are lovely!
And so is the town. My husband and I were in Italy in 2013 for our 25th wedding anniversay, and while we didn’t make it to Umbria then, we have every intention of returning (as frequently as possible!) to see the rest of Italy. It is a glorious country, with beautiful scenery, architecture, people – absolutely everything!
And thank you for sharing your recipes – I have tried quite a few of them and while it isn’t quite the same in Canada as it would be in Italy, they are always fun to make and taste wonderful.
I hope you were able to enjoy the pool during your heatwave!
Ciao!
Beth
Just got back from Umbria and missing it already! Such a beautiful place – truly magical. London is just blah in comparison and missing the heat too.
Keep those Umbria posts coming!
